DARK AUDIO PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Dark Audio Project CD is the 1st official (professionally mass-produced) release from the live band DARK AUDIO ENSEMBLE featuring Matt Frantz on guitar. The music is modern instrumental that crosses boundaries of jazz, industrial, tribal, chant, & electronic styles. The soundscapes range from soothing to harsh, & often fluctuate between the two extremes within short periods of time. The album may be considered ambient in the the sense that it creates an atmosphere, but not as minimal as most most mood music. It is much more dramatic, unusual, & exciting! The nearest relative of this music would probably be that of John Zorn, Praxis, Buckethead, & Bill Laswell. This is experimental abstract music from musicians with diverse musical backgrounds (and musical instruments!) that blend together to create something unique & spontaneous.
